Toronto, Ontario – The Canadian Off-Highway Vehicle Distributors Council (COHV) reviewed the published results of the final phase of York University’s study on the “Fitness and Health Benefits of Off-Road Vehicle (ORV) Riding”, and is pleased to confirm once more that these finding support what all-terrain vehicle (ATV) and off-road motorcycle (ORM) clubs have been saying all along - that being out on the trails on your ATV or ORM is not only fun but contributes to individual and family emotional and physical well-being.

Go Riding Article Winter 2010 Study Confirms Recreational Off-Road Riding Good For the Body, Soul and Quality of Life
Go Riding –The results are in! It's been confirmed! All-terrain vehicle (ATV) and off-road motorcycle (ORM) riding is good for your body and soul. Not only that but the second publication in a series of four reports has confirmed that 96.6% of off-highway vehicle (OHV) riders consider themselves to be both positive, optimistic thinkers and people with an ability to cope with stress "fairly often" to "almost all of the time".

Atlantic Outdoor Magazine - The Canadian Off-Highway Vehicle Distributors Council (COHV), and its funding partners, the All-Terrain Quad Council of Canada (AAQCC), the Motorcyclists Confederation of Canada (MCC) and the Government of Nova Scotia, in 2007, contracted Jamie Burr and his team at York University's Physical Activity and Chronic Disease Unit, Faculty of Health,to conduct a national health benefit study -- to characterize the physiological demands of recreational off-highway vehicle (OHV) riding under typical riding conditions using habitual recreational riders.

NTC Study Recreational Trails are a Defining National Characteristic of Canada -- NTC Study Finds
Dartmouth, Nova Scotia – The National Trails Coalition (NTC) is pleased to announce the release of a comprehensive “Canadian Trails Study” that has identified more than 269,000 kilometres of managed trails throughout Canada. This study provides an overview of managed trails in Canada and an analysis of the most important developments during the past decade for Canadian trails.

Toronto, Ontario – The Canadian Off-Highway Vehicle Distributors Council (COHV) and its funding partners were pleased to learn in the first published report on “Fitness and Health Benefits of Off-Road Vehicle (ORV) Riding” that All-Terrain Vehicle (ATV) and off-road motorcycle (ORM) riding is good for body and soul. The news gets better; the second publication in this series of four reports has confirmed that 96.6% of ORV riders consider themselves to be both positive, optimistic thinkers, are “expected to have lower levels of stress and depression…and a higher overall life satisfaction”.

Miramichi, NB – The Canadian ATV Safety Institute (CASI) a division of the All-Terrain Quad Council of Canada (AQCC) joined with the New Brunswick All Terrain Vehicle Federation (NBATVF) and the Canadian Off-Highway Vehicle Distributors Council (COHV) today to announce that CASI’s first Instructors are in place and ready to certify ATV riders across Canada in CASI’s new ATV Ridercourse.
